 Idea and Intention of Convergncy Plan

           Government is implementing a variety of Self-employment Schemes for the  Rural  and the Urban poor through various line departments and development agencies.  In order to enhance the quality   of     services to the families living below the   poverty line, to reach the maximum number   of    house holds     with   meaningful self-employment schemes in a transparent, speedy and cost effective manner,    Governments   desire that  the various       departments     implementing   anti  - poverty programes work in   close coordination, right from the State level to the village level to achieve a convergent and      integrated    approach for   the identification of beneficiaries, capacity   building of  the    beneficiaries, identification of suitable self-employment opportunities, appraisal         and      sanctioning,     funding     patterns, documentation       grounding,     securing      linkages, monitoring and follow up and loan recover.
